About last night: Chopard celebrates the reopening of its Bond Street flagship
The stars turned out in force on Tuesday night to officially reopen Chopard’s flagship store on London’s Bond Street
From the Cannes Film Festival to the Oscars, Chopard’s jewellery and watches have been worn by some of the world’s most famous faces on some its most prestigious red carpets. So when it came to celebrating the reopening of its flagship boutique on Bond Street, Chopard wasn’t going to settle for anything less than the most fabulous of parties.
Taking ‘Chopard loves London’ as its theme, VIP guests, including Marion Cotillard, Julianne Moore, James Norton, Alexa Chung and Colin and Livia Firth, arrived via a fleet of customised all-electric black cabs and were greeted by bowler-hat clad porters who escorted them down the sustainable Econyl blue carpet.

A ribbon cutting marked the official opening of the boutique before guests were treated to summery cocktails, Chateau Monestier La Tour wines and locally sourced canapés at a reception hosted by Chopard co-presidents Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. After the reception, the party moved to the magnificent Banqueting House where dinner was served alongside entertainment provided by magician David Jarre, a runway show of Chopard’s finest high jewellery pieces and music by Alessandro Ristori & the Portofinos and DJ Lou Hayter.
