The new Rolls-Royce is painted with diamonds

On sparkling form, the British carmaker have taken luxury to new levels

Rolls-Royce needn’t get more exclusive. With their luxuriant interiors, impeccable designs and limited range of high-end motor cars, they’re already up there as one of the most decadent and expensive automakers in the industry.

But sometimes that isn’t enough – sometimes you have to be hedonistic for the sake of hedonism. And that appears to be Rolls-Royce’s attitude, as they’ve just added a little sparkle to their latest limited edition.

The Ghost, Rolls-Royce’s 4-door sedan, is smaller than the other models in the company’s range. But the latest limited edition, named the Ghost Elegance and unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, more than makes up for its size in its decoration – for it is painted with diamonds.

Containing 1000 crushed diamonds, the lustrous finish takes two months to create, and has been dubbed ‘Diamond Stardust’ by the carmaker. It is the first car ever to adopt such a painting technique – and has turned heads in Switzerland.

The rest of the car is equally as decadent – featuring hand applied coach lines and a dashboard clad in premium leather and Tudor Oak.

Other limited runs revealed by Rolls-Royce in Geneva include the Wraith Black Badge edition and Dawn Inspired by Fashion – a collection of three vehicles who take their colour scheme from Dutch painter Piet Mondrian.
