The original Breitling SuperOcean was launched in 1957. Created to meet the needs of professional divers, it soon found a home out of the water — attracting an audience who were drawn to its bold style, performance and extraordinary functionality.
Last night, the Swiss manufacturer launched the most recent watch in the collection at their Bond Street boutique. The SuperOcean Heritage II Ocean Conservancy moves with our eco-friendly times, featuring an environmentally conscious strap crafted from ECONYL yarn — and celebrities turned out to celebrate this sustainability.

Laura Whitmore
Guests including Oliver Cheshire, Dougie Poynter and Laura Whitmore entered the boutique through an installation wave made of plastic waste and netting, juxtaposed against a floral spray drawing attention to ocean pollution and the scale of waste making its way to the ocean.

Breitling Ambassador, David Mayer De Rothschild
Breitling also welcomed Explorer Squad Members David de Rothschild and Ben Fogle to the boutique, who took to the stage to discuss exploration, the environment and how we can all move towards conscious consumption and a more sustainable way of living.

DJ George Lamb
George Lamb was on the decks, and explorers including Gentleman’s Journal interviewees George Bullard and The Turner Twins were in attendance to celebrate this important launch; a timepiece that reminds us of our role in maintaining healthy oceans and clean beaches. As such, a portion of the sales of the watch will be donated to Ocean Conservancy and its global fight against ocean pollution.
