Although the bleak winter weather is already showing signs of thawing, it’s never too soon to set sail and head for the horizon. From new mega yacht charters to a race-winning sailing yacht and a secretive explorer project due to set sail this year, here are the most exciting yachts of 2023.
Dar
Measuring in at 90-metres, 2023 is the year that Dar will be offered for charter for the first time since it was constructed by Oceanco in 2018. Like an ocean-going glasshouse, Dar’s notable glazed areas have been specifically designed to prevent prying eyes from seeing what goes down its four decks.
“What makes her special is that she is fully custom and this is also the first time that she is available for charter,” says Edmiston Chief Executive Jamie Edmiston. “This exceptional 90-metre yacht provides next-level luxury and total privacy.”
With seven cabins, Dar can comfortably house 12 guests, split between two VIP suites, four double rooms and a private owner’s deck, which features its own spa-tub with an en-suite room, a terrace with a jacuzzi and sunpads and a nifty 360-degree rotating sofa on the aft deck. To experience all that, Dar commands a cool price of £1,060,000 per week in all seasons.
Outside of Dar’s sleeping arrangements, there’s two tenders – one open-top and one closed, naturally – jet skis, seadoos, five electric bikes and two drones – one for above the water and one for under. Alongside a host of grand, high celling halls, lounges and dining rooms, Dar’s open-air swimming pool even features its own waterfall and a fully equipped gym with, yes, you guessed it – floor to ceiling windows.
Lady S
The razor-sharp lines of the Lady S make this one of the best-looking yachts coming to market in 2023.
Offered for charter this year, the Lady S is one for those who like to entertain with the world’s first ‘at sea’ IMAX Dolby cinema, a beach club with hammam and plunge pool, a glass bottomed pool, 200-inch open-air screen on deck and, of course, a nightclub. For sports fans, there’s a basketball court a golf tee and a gym with panoramic views.
The yacht is the work of Michael Leach Design, with naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects and interiors by Reymond Langton Design, who reportedly set out to create a “contemporary jewellery box” inside.
Priced at £1,412,000 per week in all seasons, 12 guests are tended to by 31 crew and housed between seven cabins split between master suite, two VIP staterooms, two doubles and two twins.
Miss Silver

Moving away from the motor yachts for a brief moment, Miss Silver is an elegant – not to mention more sustainable – alternative to the usual draft of chunky, high-sided motorised vessels. Measuring in at 36.12m, Miss Silver is being offered for sale in 2023 for the first time since it was bought by second and current owner in 2019.
Designed as a fast cruiser, Miss Silver’s sailing credentials stretch further than most yachts, with a recent win in the 2020 New Zealand Millennium Cup – one of the South Pacific’s most notable superyacht regattas.
Undergoing a multi-million-dollar bow to stern refit in 2021, the interior features new joinery, fabrics, furnishings, tech and galley, while the exterior has been repainted, re-decked and had new sails and new control systems fitted. Capable of accommodating up to eight guests in four cabins and a five crew, the sailing yacht is a dainty way to silently criss-cross the high seas.
“Miss Silver is an exceptionally elegant, well designed sailing yacht,” says Matt Ruane of superyacht brokers Cecil Wright. “Presented in fabulous condition post-refit, she is a stand-out opportunity in her market segment.” On route from Brisbane to Palma, where she’ll attend the International Boat Show in April 2023, Miss Silver is listed for sale for £7,730,000.
Lady Jorgia
With a glass-bottomed pool, a spa and a private terrace spread over five decks, the 74 metre Lady Jorgia is a sight to behold on the high seas. Now available to charter in 2023, the yacht won the Best Layout award for her category at the World Yacht Trophies 2017.
Sporting a substantial fold out ‘beach club’ with its own espresso bar, there’s also a fully equipped gym, an indoor and outdoor cinema, a private deck and a massive 10,000 litres pool on the main deck with spa jets.
“A full all-rounder charter yacht with an extensive beach club, and has everything needed on board,” says Edmiston Chief Executive Jamie Edmiston. Priced between £662,000 and £750,000 per week depending on the season, the Lady Jorgia can sleep 12 guests across eight cabins – one master, one VIP, four doubles and two convertible – and 25 crew.
Project Icecap
Measuring in at a whopping 107 meters, Project Icecap is due for completion in 2023, after she was revealed last summer at Lürssen’s Wolgast yard and started sea trials in November 2022.
Made to explorer yacht spec, it features an axe-style bow and a forward superstructure, suggesting the yacht will be heading into big seas when it’s launched later this year. With a significantly sized and open aft deck, there’s room for more than a few toys, cargo or exploration gear alongside the infinity pool and room for 20 guests in ten cabins.
Powered by diesel-electric motors, the yacht is expected to feature state-of-the-art energy saving, power storage, heating and cooling systems, hinting at the owner’s intention to hideaway in a remote corner of the world for extended periods of time.
Originally sold in March 2018 by Moran Yacht & Ship, the brokerage firm is project managing the construction and, once delivered, she will become of the world’s largest superyachts, sitting within the top fifty largest ever made.
