T.M. Lewin and Royal Ascot collaborate on occasion wear collection
From sharp three-piece suits to statement check jackets, this limited edition collection from the Jermyn St menswear brand is a front runner for the races...
If 2019 is to be your first year at Royal Ascot, you’d be forgiven for needing a little guidance on its traditional Dress Code, which varies depending on what enclosure you find yourself in.
Although no formal dress code is enforced in the Windsor Enclosure, smart daywear is encouraged. Meanwhile in the Village and Queen Anne Enclosures, gentlemen are required to wear a full-length suit with a collared shirt and tie.
If you’re looking for a little inspiration before the Royal Meeting in June, you need look no further than T.M. Lewin’s Royal Ascot collection.
The iconic Jermyn St menswear brand, famous for outfitting London’s working City men, has become the official license partner of Royal Ascot on an exclusive three-year deal. Making hay while the sun shines, if you’ll pardon the pun, the two have collaborated on a collection of fine Italian suits, shirting and accessories.
“We are proud to be in partnership with Royal Ascot, in our eyes a converging of two great British brands,” says T.M. Lewin Chief Executive, Sven Gaede. “The tie-up with Royal Ascot is an important element in our strategy to become a premium British Menswear brand.”
A core part of the collection focuses on three intricately designed, three-piece slim suits, utilising lightweight Italian Barberis cloth and bespoke horse racing inspired lining: designed for those racing goers abiding by the rules of the more formal enclosures.
On a more casual footing, you’ll find tasteful Italian check and sharp, linen jackets within the collection. We are particularly in favour of the Eclipse crease-resistant linen jacket seen at the top of the page. It’s woven at Italy’s Lanificio Campore mill, which is renowned for its exceptionally high standard. As part of the unique Royal Ascot capsule collection, it is also lined with T.M. Lewin’s exclusive jockey print.

If you are in central London, we highly recommend visiting the new Oxford Street store (opening 16th May) as well Jermyn St, Canary Wharf and Fenchurch St. With an impressive Royal Ascot theme installation in the window, you’ll be in no danger of walking straight past it.
Should you be so inclined to try your luck before race day, T.M. Lewin are celebrating the Oxford Street store opening by giving away 15 pairs of tickets to the Queen Anne enclosure. Be sure to follow @TMLewin on Instagram to see how to enter from 17th May.
