Think 125cc and the image will be of whiny scooters weaving in and out of traffic dangerously, or dainty Japanese motorcycles spluttering in the slow lane. There’s nothing cool, nothing to scratch the itch of true motoring enthusiasts; something you’d ride for the pure joy of driving rather than just the convenience of getting to and from work. Until now…
Enter Mutt Motorcycles, the young Birmingham-based marque that has revamped the 125cc motorbike. The Mongrel, featuring a beautifully-vintage custom look, harks back to the glorious 60s, with spoked wheels and a classic British-inspired fuel tank. And there’s more to the Mongrel than just looks – this bike makes a seriously good noise for a 125cc.
