We sometimes like to say that the Gentleman’s Journal Podcast is like ‘eavesdropping on the world’s most interesting power lunches.’ If that’s the case, then Gentleman’s Journal Live – our series of excellent panel talks we held at the start of October, in partnership with electric-performance car brand Polestar – was very much the dinner party version. Across two days, these lively fireside chats took us inside a different industry – including design, hospitality and art – with the people who really know what they’re talking about.

The talks were also designed to explore some of the topics that both Polestar and our podcast have been interested in over the years — new and different ways of thinking; innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit; and the ingredients that might add up to success in any number of fields.
Throughout the talks, a Polestar 3 sat alongside us by the stage, like some beautiful, stately sculpture, as if to remind us how good these ingredients are when they’re properly brought together. The Polestar 3 has been described as the SUV for the electric age — and it is perhaps the most forward-thinking, clever, and beautiful electric vehicle that has yet come to market; a very nifty coming together of considered sustainability and good looks.
